Your data is a trust we hold. This page explains in plain language what Grandmaster collects, what we use it for, and how we protect it. We wrote it as clearly as we could, so you feel settled from day one.
Data We Collect
We ask only for what we genuinely need to support your rating climb:
- Your identity and contact details, such as your name (or your chess platform username) and WhatsApp number, when you reach out to us.
- Your account of your rating, the time controls you play most, and your coaching goals, so we can suggest the tier that fits.
- Game records or online chess ratings you share voluntarily for a diagnostic session.
- Messages you send through WhatsApp or email.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data only to serve your coaching journey:
- Contacting you and answering your questions about the programs.
- Deciding which coaching tier suits you and arranging your session schedule.
- Preparing game reviews backed by engine analysis, along with progress notes for you.
- Letting you know about information relevant to your program.
Game Records and Recordings
Game records or session recordings you share for review are used solely to analyze your play with your coach. We do not distribute them, publish them, or use them for public content without written permission from you.
We Do Not Sell Your Data
Your data is not merchandise. We do not sell or rent it to anyone. We share it only with the Grandmaster team and the coach handling your sessions, limited to what the coaching itself requires.
Storage and Security
We keep your data for as long as the coaching relationship runs and for as long as reasonable record keeping requires. We protect it with appropriate safeguards, and we limit access to the people who genuinely need it.
Your Rights
This data belongs to you, so you hold the controls:
- Ask to see the data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your data once your coaching journey with Grandmaster has ended.
Changes to This Policy
When there is an update, we will revise this page and change the date on it. Significant changes will be communicated clearly.
